Prepare for What's to Come in 2021

It’s one of my favorite seasons! Fall has arrived with its crisp air and everything pumpkin you can imagine! The changing seasons have been an ever-present reminder of how nature stays in tune to God’s direction. How in sync are you and I with God’s direction? Are we ready when the season changes? We have only three more months left in 2020. What do you need to do to prepare for the next steps God has for you and your family in 2021?

I implore you to start praying and seeking the Lord for direction and clarity. Don’t know where to start? What was the last thing God told you to do that you have not yet completed? Start there!

In 2021, let’s be prepared to move and do whatever God desires of us. This year has taught me to stay ready but be flexible. I’ve learned to take nothing for granted and to remain in peace because nothing outside of God’s will ultimately come to pass. In March, I had a tentative plan for my whole year, and it all got hijacked. But, no one better to interrupt your schedule then God. He has allowed many things to happen, some good and some not so good. Although I don’t always understand why, God does what He does, I know that He has continued to be the faithful God I have always known Him to be.

No matter what 2021 has in store for us, let’s be ready to follow His orders. Let’s be good stewards of our time and investments for the remainder of this year. I want to continue being in awe of our magnificent Creator and how He will continue to show up for us when we surrender our will to His.

Include your spouse and your children in seeking God’s will for 2021. How will God use you, your marriage, your family, your talents and abilities He has given you in this coming year? Building God’s kingdom is the only thing that has eternal value. Everything else is temporal and is passing away.

I’m excited and nervous all at the same time for this new year that’s coming so quickly! I will be continuing to pray for you and your families as together, we push towards the mark of the high calling of Jesus Christ our Lord and to the glory of God our Father! Amen!
