Shine Bright this Holiday Season!
We are all still grappling with a difficult season. But, in the midst of it all God has assigned us all tasks. Nothing can fulfill us with peace this holiday season like Christ. Grasping a hold to this truth will help us deal with the uncertainties and hard times we are all facing. Let’s not wait for life to just get easier but look for ways to see beyond the chaos. You can still experience God’s wisdom, power, and grace as you push through each obstacle!
God has involved my family and I with some wonderful opportunities to serve. We were able to help a family with a new baby, a family whose mom is confined to the bed due to recent surgery, and lastly support a family grieving over the loss of a loved one. In addition we have been praying with a few people who are looking for jobs this holiday season and believing God for complete physical healing. This season is a difficult time, for soo many reasons. I also continue to pray, for our essential workers, my husband, is one of them as well. God hears our prayers and I know he is moving, even when we can not see, or feel His presence.
Despite it all, I am convinced focusing on ourselves solely, is not the key to this holiday season. We have the best gift there is in Jesus. He enables us to share love and light with others, no matter what is going on around us and within our own homes. God has my family and your family covered. Whatever you are facing this Christmas season, God’s grace, wisdom and power will continue to equip you. No matter how unorthodox this holiday season is, God had a plan from the beginning of time to save us, and He still does!
“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” -Isaiah 9:6
If we say we serve a God who is a “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace,” let’s not let our current circumstances dictate our hope and joy! We have been given soo much in our Savior! Let’s reflect that, as we give to others! This can only be accomplished by trusting God’s will and not our own feelings. Allow God to continue to show Himself strong in your family, businesses, and your community. How? Look for ways to shine the hope of Christ throughout this holiday season and beyond!
